The growing mental health crisis affecting youth is a major concern for parents and the community. Rising stress, anxiety, and depression levels among children and adolescents can hinder their ability to thrive academically and socially. 37% of High School Students have poor mental health during the pandemic.

The isolation of the pandemic only served to increase this problem with our kids. A survey conducted in 2021 showed a staggering 37% experiencing symptoms such as distress and sadness worsened by the pandemic.

Hopelessness

44% of Students felt hopeless over the past years.

Many students are still dealing with the effects of COVID-19 on their mental health. Recent CDC research found that more than a third of all high school students worldwide suffered from poor mental well-being during 2020. Even worse, over 44% reported feeling hopeless or depressed throughout this time.

Suicide in Youth

Suicide is now the 2nd leading cause of death for people ages 10 to 24.

This statistic only scratches the surface of the problem. For every suicide death there are 4 hospitalizations for suicide attempts, 8 ER visits for suicide attempts, 27 self-reported suicide attempts and 275 people who seriously considered suicide.
